This was my first picture walking out onto the road I would take every morning, peanut butter sandwich in hand, racing towards the cathedral in the distance with my school right next to it. As I look back on this picture now, I wish I'd taken the time to look around and enjoy this walk more and just taken more time to walk around the city. It really is beautiful.
That day, we hadn't meant to coordinate outfits, but it worked out perfectly, red framed by blues. As we talked and walked through Madrid, we took more pictures than I can count and the sunlight was hitting just right in this shot. The water seems to glow and it's something people write stories about, and I was living that story.

Take me Back
Have you ever felt you were living in a dream? How do you capture a dream? How do I reassure myself my memories were real? Because sometimes, you have the opportunity to see sights that are amazing, to meet people that are incredible, and to experience events that are once in a lifetime. If we don't trust in our memories, we end up seeing only photographs.
I've tried to capture my memories here in this slideshow. Where I needed captions, I've added them, but other times, the picture itself is enough to bring me back, and is enough to show the beauty of the city and the incredible experience of spending four weeks there.
